DUMOND HAZEL CATHERINE Hazel Dumond was the second of eight children born to Harry and Esther (Hohe) Normington in Lanark, PA on January 2, 1926. Hazel met the love of her life, David Isiah Dumond, in Indianapolis. They married in 1949. Hazel's great love was her family and her greatest skill was making a house into a beautiful and loving home for her husband and two children, David, Jr. and Lynn. On September 9, 2015, Hazel passed from this world into eternity with Jesus. She was preceded in death by her parents; eldest brother, Marvin; and husband, David. She leaves to cherish her memory son, David (Ann); daughter, Lynn (Marc) Portnoff; grandchildren, Trevor (Amber) Dumond, Kathryn (Tim) Gorman, Samuel (Alyse) Portnoff, Jacob (Rebecca) Portnoff, and Ruth Portnoff; great-grandchildren, Isaiah and Micah Portnoff and Baby-G due in November. A Memorial Service will be held at Friendship Community Church, 181 Robinson Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15213 on Saturday, September 19, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. Her ashes will be interred in Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis.
