DIMASI LOUIS ANTHONY Age 93, of Oakmont, died on October 15, 2015, after a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Fred Dimasi; and a brother, John Dimasi. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Anne; his son, Joseph (Karen); and his daughter, Susan (Joe) Schoenbaechler; his grandchildren, LeAnn (Isbell), Joseph, Zachary, and Daniel Dimasi, Ross and Katherine Schoenbaechler; four great- grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. He is also survived by a sister, Gloria Cannillo; and sister-in-law, Josephine Dimasi, both of Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews. In 1947, he began his career at Penn Technical Institute as an instructor in Electronics and became Chief Instructor in 1948. In 1950, he became Director of Penn Technical Institute as well as President. He remained President and Director until selling the business to Pittsburgh Technical Institute. He continued on as Director of Penn Technical Institute until his retirement in 2000. A scholarship fund bearing his name provides help for persons in financial need to help begin or continue their education. He was a longtime and active supporter of NEED, the United Way, and St. Irenaeus Catholic Church in Oakmont. Friends and relatives will be received on Monday, October 19, 2015, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the BURKET - TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., 421 Allegheny Ave., Oakmont. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, October 20, 2015, 11 a.m. St. Irenaeus Catholic Church.
