HART ALICE (SCHMITT) Alice Hart, of Oakland, died peacefully at home October 18, 2015 at the age of 97. A native of New Haven, Ct., Alice was a 1939 graduate of Albertus Magnus College. She also held a master's degree from the University of Pittsburgh, where she was employed for 22 years as a faculty-librarian, retiring in 1986. Alice was a voracious reader, a big movie fan, and a proud Pirates booster. Alice is survived by her sons, John "Johnny" A. Hart, Jr. of Houston, Tx., Kevin Hart of New Haven, and Peter Hart of Pittsburgh; her grandson Carl Wiser of Canton, Ct.; her sister, Shirley Goglia of West Haven, Ct.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by Prof. John A. Hart, her husband of 66 years; and her son, Brian S. Hart. Services in Pittsburgh will be private.
