DOWHY RITA M. Age 57, of Coraopolis, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2015, at Allegheny General Hospital. She was born in Sewickley on November 19, 1957, to the late John and Anna (Zatchey) Dowhy. Beloved sister of Carol Schoenig of Cranberry, Rosalie Rosenbeck of North Hills, August Toth of Baden and the late Andrew M. Dowhy; also many loving nieces and nephews. Rita was a member of St. Joseph Church. She was a 1976 graduate of Cornell High School and had attended Robert Morris University. Her last employment was as an administrative assistant at NIRA. She had also worked for UPS in air export, ATM posting closings, Pitt Ohio Data Entry, and Denny's in Moon Township. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Joseph Church on Saturday, November 14, 2015, at 9:30 a.m. Father Richard Jones, celebrant. Burial will follow in Coraopolis Cemetery. Because of Rita's love of animals, especially her cats, her family suggests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horne Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
