PETERS ELOISE LEE Age 89, of Arden Courts Memory Care in Monroeville, formerly of Morgantown, WV, passed away peacefully November 1, 2015, after living gracefully with Alzheimer's Disease over the last decade. "Lee" was loved by all at her Arden Courts home where she was so lovingly cared for and cherished the last six years, bringing joy to many with her polite smile and kind greetings to all. In her days at Arden Courts, she loved playing cards and Bingo, attending church services with Rev. John Patterson of the St. James Fellowship, and spending time sitting in the sun. Before her time at Arden Courts, Lee was a 1947 journalism graduate of West Virginia University, a dedicated Mom, and a committed volunteer for many years at WVU's Ruby Memorial Hospital. Lee loved gardening, yard sales, spending summers at the beach in Ocean City, MD, and rooting on the WVU football and basketball teams as a loyal Mountaineer. Born in Keyser, WV, Lee was the wife of the late Iland Dee Peters, (a longtime professor of mathematics at WVU); mother to Sharman Peters Polka of North Versailles, (son-in-law, Matt, granddaughters, Molly and Annie), Benjamin Lee Peters of Morgantown, WV (grandchildren, Travis, Kayla and Sarah), and John Casey Peters. A Celebration Service will be held for Lee at 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015, at Broadway Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, 1000 Broadway Avenue, East McKeesport, PA 15035. FORGIE - SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, EAST MCKEESPORT, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
