JAMES SOPHIE (XIDIS) On Friday, December 18, 2015, our dear, sweet mom passed away peacefully to join our dad again. Sophie, age 88, of Mt. Lebanon, was the beloved and devoted wife for 58 years of the late Robert W. James; loving, caring and best mom ever to Susan T. and David C. James; sister of the late Katherine Kalivas, Athena Xidis, Helen Xidis and Louis Xidis; sister-in-law of Kay Yeager and Nina Xidis; also survived by her nieces and nephews. Sophie was the perfect homemaker, taking excellent care of her family throughout the years. She lived every day of her life with a warm smile and a pleasant demeanor. The family wishes to thank Dr. Terence Philbin, Family Hospice and the wonderful caregivers who treated Sophie with loving kindness the past two years. At her request, all services and interment in Allegheny Cemetery will be private.
