PRUITT ELLEN M. (McCULLOCH) Ellen M. Pruitt, Queen of Cheswick, 77, of Pittsburgh, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 22, 2016. She was born in New Kensington, Pennsylvania on January 13, 1939, to the late William and Myrtle McCulloch. Ellen was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, James Pruitt. She is survived by her children, Megan (Bob) Vester, Mark (Becky) Pruitt, Matt (Michele) Pruitt, and Michael (Melissa) Pruitt; three granddaughters, Taylor Vester, Mary Jones, and Elizabeth Pruitt; four grandsons, Josh Vester, Sam Vester, Shane Pruitt, and Andrew Pruitt; sister, Patsy Sheehan; brother, James McCulloch. Ellen was preceded in death by her brother, William McCulloch III; and sister, Mary Mimori. Friends will be received on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, 2-4 p.m. at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. A Memorial Service will follow the visitation in the funeral home chapel at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorial contributions be made to the Baptist Homes Nursing Center (489 Castle Shannon Blvd., Pittsburgh, PA 15234).
