BEER JAMES R. Age 86, of Sewickley, formerly of Moon Township, beloved husband of Lorraine Beer and adored father of four, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, February 18, 2016, at West Hills Health and Rehab. He was born in Pittsburgh on June 26, 1929, to the late Thomas and Clara (Freund) Beer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas and John. He is survived by his best friend and wife of 66 years, Lorraine; loving children, James (Susan) Beer, Leslie (John) Smith, Jeffrey Beer, and Stacy (Stephen) Weihman; cherished grandchildren, Colby (Amanda) Erwin, Haley (Eric) Polaski, Cody (Derek) Gsell, Landin Beer, Cameron Beer, Kara and Nolan Weihman; great- grandfather of Hadley. He was a TWA employee for 42 years who had a strong passion for flight and aeronautics, and he often dreamed that he could fly. His family finds great comfort in knowing that he's now realizing that dream! Memorial Visitation Saturday, February 27, 2016, from 10 a.m. until time of Blessing Service at 11 a.m. at COPELAND'S MOON TOWNSHIP, 981 Brodhead Rd., with Rev. Thomas J. Burke, officiating.
