
MARINO FRANK W. Died of natural causes at his home on August 16, 2015, at the age of 77. Frank was born on July 31, 1938, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to parents, Frank and Mariantonia Pasqualina (Lena) Marino. He was raised in Oakland and attended Elementary School at St. Paul's and High School at Central Catholic. Shortly after High School he joined the United States Navy and was stationed at various ports throughout the world. Because of his fluency in Italian he was called upon as a translator while in Italy. After his discharge he moved to Los Angeles, California where he initially had a position for the County of Los Angeles while attending College. He received his B.A. Degree from the University of California, Los Angeles and his Masters Degree from the University of Southern California. Frank later worked for the State Department of Correction as a parole officer eventually becoming a District Administrator prior to retiring in 1996. Frank was an avid reader, and enjoyed hiking, cooking and travel. Frank met the love of his life marrying Josephine in 2005. He is survived by his wife; brother, Santo; stepson, Ryan; nephews, Michael and Nicholas; along with six grandniecess; and two grandnephews. There will be a viewing held at CABOT AND SONS, located at 27 Chestnut St., Pasadena, CA 91103 on Wednesday, August 26, 2015, at 5:00 p.m., with the Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m., and the Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Pasadena on Thursday, August 27, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. Send condolences post-gazette.com/gb
