DiFIORE CARL L., Sr. Age 87, of Mt. Washington, peacefully asleep in his Brookline home, on Sunday, August 16, 2015. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Therese (Kadair); his parents, Nicholas and Mary; and siblings, Angelo, Dominick and Rose DiFiore. He was the beloved father of Ann (David) Paga, Nick DiFiore, Carl DiFiore, Jr. (Stephanie) and Loretta Tonry; he was the grandfather of Michael (Hope) Paga, Amanda Paga, Nicole (Jamie) Meiser, Eric DiFiore, Marc Paga, Christopher and Adam Tonry; great-grandfather of Madeleine Paga, Evan Meiser and Charles Paga; also many nieces and nephews. Carl was a retired sergeant of the Pittsburgh Police. He was a former West Penn Prison guard and a Marine Corps veteran. He felt very strongly about children in sports and was a founder of the St. Catherine of Siena School Athletic Association. He enjoyed coaching little league and served as a president of the Beechview Little League and he was instrumental in beginning girls' softball. Carl loved to share stories of his life with all who would listen.
