HILLEN DENNIS Age 78, of McMurray, PA on Thursday, Nov. 26, 2015, peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Anita (Raspanti) Hillen; son of late Dolores and Arthur Hillen; loving father of Diana (Mearl) Kamyk, Robert (Diana) Hillen, James (Susan) Hillen and Dennis (Wendy) Hillen; beloved grandfather of Brandon, Ryan, Kevin, Natalea, and Nicole. Preceded in death by brothers, Robert C. Hillen and Arthur Hillen; son-in-law of the late James Raspanti and Nina Raspanti; and brother-in-law of the late Carl Raspanti. Denny was retired from US Airways as an airline captain and flight instructor. He flew the Boeing 757/767 until his retirement in 1994. His passion for aviation started as a teenager spanning 63 years beginning at Mayer Airport in Heidelberg, PA. Denny enjoyed flying his Aeronca L3 airplane and instructing student pilots at the Finleyville airport. He was an avid reader and intellect, and enjoyed riding motorcycles. Denny was a devoted grandfather who loved spending time with his grandchildren. Denny was an MP in the U.S. Army.
