MORSE F. HARVEY, Jr. In his 91st year of life, Harvey passed away peacefully at his home in Bradford Woods on Tuesday, November 10, 2015. Beloved husband and soulmate of Bonnie McDermid Morse for 47 years; loving father of Kathy Morse Gorka; and the proud grandfather of Ryan Gorka. WATERS DANIEL JOHN Formerly of Castle Shannon, entered into the loving arms of Jesus on Friday, October 30, 2015. Born November 8, 1954, in Pittsburgh, Danny was the third son of John Waters (deceased) and Glenys Waters (Cunningham) of Bridgeville. He is survived by brothers, David (Theresa) New Brighton, James of Bridgeville, Thomas (Frieda) Lake Alfred, Florida; sister, Melissa Westerman (Ken Westerman) Cibolo, Texas; and brother, Jonathan (Phyllis) Romeo, Michigan. He is survived by many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Danny graduated from Keystone Oaks High School in 1972. He found freedom when he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. SOLOMON DOLORES R. Of Squirrel Hill, formerly of Shadyside, died November 4, 2015. She was 87. She was a daughter of Dr. Samuel A. Ruben and Jean Klevans Ruben. She was the mother of Edward L. Solomon III of Pittsburgh and Suzan Solomon of Sherman Oaks, California, and the grandmother of Rebecca and Jordan Solomon of Pittsburgh. She is also survived by her sister, Millicent "Mitzie" Mild, age 86, of Akron, Ohio, and her children. She was the Vice President of Mercer Lime Company in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania, and was the breeder of champion Standard Poodles. She was known as the "Poodle Lady of Pittsburgh." WILSON TIM C. Age 75, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2015, at his home in Murrysville. He was born July 19, 1940, son of the late Helen M. Wilson. Tim is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Janet Orr Wilson; sons, Kevin Wilson and his wife, Kelli of Oakmont, Brian Wilson and his wife, Ali of Verona; granddaughters, Julie and Savannah Wilson; sister-in-law, Marilyn Orr of Murrysville; brother, Jim W. Orr and his wife, Karen; and nephew, Russell of Glenside, PA; a niece, Lisa Orr of Pittsburgh. Tim began his career in industrial lubricants with Humble Oil and Refining Company, now ExxonMobil, in the Pittsburgh Grease Plant laboratory in 1964. He retired from Exxon in August 1995 after 31 years of service where he was involved in the product quality control, customer service and product development of industrial lubricants with an emphasis on lubricating greases. Wilson engaged in professional educational activities in the National Lubricating and Grease Institute and the Society of Tribologists and Lubricating Engineers for over 25 years. He received numerous awards and certificates of which the most notable are from the National Lubricating Grease Institute in 1995, Award for Exceptional Leadership, Chair, Communication Committee of the NLGI Technical Committee; in 1992, Award for Achievement in recognition of exceptional contributions to the NLGI Technical Committee, including leadership on its Educational and Literature Committee; in 1988, Meritorious Award in recognition of many years of service and outstanding contributions to the Institute; in 1983, Fellows Award; in 1992 received the Fellows Award from the Society of Tribologists and Lubricating Engineers. Tim graduated from Grove City College, Grove City, PA in 1962 with a B.S. in Engineering and from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA in 1969 with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. He holds Patent No. 3,510,425 for a novel additive in mist lubricants that its technology is used in Exxon's products. COPETAS CHRIS G., Esq. Passed away peacefully on November 13, 2015. A man of extraordinary talents and abilities, Chris was cherished by his family and countless friends. His generosity and kindness seemed limitless and so much of his energy and time was both directed at helping others and in dedication to the community. He was preceded in death by his father, George Copetas; mother, Bessie; and siblings, George, Jack and Georgia. He is survived by his brother, John Copetas (Joanne); sister, Penny Kachulis (Paul); his nieces and nephews, whom he treated as if they were his own children, (Kathy, Harry, Dani, George, George, Beth and Jim); and eight great-nieces and nephews. A graduate of Peabody High School and the University of Pittsburgh, Chris excelled academically, graduating with honors, and athletically, playing football. He was very proud of his military service in the US Air Force. While stationed in Germany, he was a Security and Police Specialist, an All-Air Force football All Star and combat judo finalist. Honorably discharged as a Major, he also was a longtime Reservist, a member of the W. PA Air Force Reserve Assoc. and the American Legion. He earned his law degree from Duquesne University. He was a past President of that School's Alumni Association and was the first recipient of its Meritorious Service Award. Initially he was in private practice as a partner in the firm of Kachulis, Copetas, Adams and Hillen. For over 25 years, he served as the First Assistant District Attorney for Allegheny County, where he became well known throughout the legal community, supervising for years the Investigative Branch. He was also Vice Chairman of the Urban Redevelopment Authority for 9 years. Later he was counsel with the firms- Lazzaro Law Center and Ciao, Torisky and O'Connor. He also was very proud of his Greek heritage, a lifetime member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral and many Hellenic organizations, including the American Hellenic Education Association. His love, wit and sense of humor will be dearly missed by all those who had the good fortune to have him in their lives. Friends will be received at JOHN A. Beloved mother of Marian (Bernie) Fedak of Pittsburgh and Kenneth (Nancy) of California; cherished grandmother of John Fedak of Nevada, Todd Fedak (Andrea) of Smithfield, PA and Matthew Knight (Abby) of California; “special” grandmother of Aimee Pliette (Steve) of California; great- grandmother of Jacob Knight; survived by brother, Leonard Murgi (Delores); sister, Janet Vernacchio; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded by spouse of 53 years, Willis Knight; parents, Luigi and Marion Murgi; and brothers, Frank Murgi (Joanne) and Alfred Murgi (Josephine). Marie was devoted to church, family and community. She was devout in her faith, a caregiver to many and a lifelong volunteer. She most proud of her crocheting. Numerous relatives and friends received her afghans. She was recognized for her “blanketeer” service to Project Linus (hand made afghans for critically ill children). She also loved to bake, especially cookies, and donated countless batches over the years to various bake sales and events. The family thanks Juniper Village of Forest Hills, Kane Glen Hazel and Gateway Hospice for making Marie's final years meaningful and dignified. She lived a simple and good life. DUNLEAVY ROBERT “BOB” W. Age 79, passed away on November 13, 2015, in Fort Pierce, Florida. Bob was the executive assistant to the Int'l President of the IBEW. He retired in 1991. Born in Rockaway Beach, NY. His contributions to the Labor Movement included membership on greater Pittsburgh Labor-Management Advisory Council, being Regional Coordinator for the AFL-CIO Tele-Video Conference and serving member of the Ohio State University Committee on experiential education. Bob addressed many different organizations, including The National Governor's Assn., The Tri-State Educational Conference, The U.S. Army War College and various IBEW-NECA Workshops, Conferences and Staff Programs. Bob was Secretary of the National Joint Apprenticeship & Training Committee. He was a major force behind the inauguration of NJATC Instructor Training Institute & Administration of the Council on Industrial Relations for the electrical industry. Bob is survived by his wife, Elizabeth “Liz”, the love of his life for 59 years; two daughters, Colleen Clawges and Maureen Heavner; two sons, Michael and Ronald; and one brother, Richard; he also leaves 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
