ANELITA M. MILES Passed peacefully at home on Saturday, August 29, 2020. Anelita was born in St. Clair Hospital on March 26, 1946. She grew up in Bridgeville and Scott Township and graduated in the class of '64 from Chartiers Valley High School. She met Larry at Cabana Beach in the Summer of 1961 and they became high school sweethearts. Larry and Anelita were married for 57 years. They raised their family in Bethel Park and when the kids were gone, moved to their dream home on the hill in McMurray. Our incredible mum (a/k/a Mumma, Granny Annie, or simply Gram) was the BEST mom in the world! She had a zest for life and lived it to the fullest. She was born to be a wife, mother, and grandmother and was so proud of her perfect grandchildren - the lights of her life. Mum loved to throw a party and was never happier than when our whole family was gathered around her dining room table for a meal, playing cards or putting a puzzle together. She was proud of her Italian and Polish heritage and was a fantastic cook and loved teaching us all how to polka in her living room. She could always be found in her kitchen rolling out meatballs or making her famous cookies. She was diligent in her dedication to exercise and went to her gym ?ve mornings a week. She loved her Wednesday bowling league and had just recently learned to play canasta. Gram never met a stranger and greeted everyone with open arms and was genuinely interested in getting to know you. She loved her oldies on the radio and watching old movies on t.v. She tended a beautiful garden and was a great seamstress - always willing to ?x or hem something for all of us and, in fact, made most of her own clothing. Although not a drinker, if she felt a cold coming on - a shot of Rock-N-Rye up was her remedy. She loved a party (and especially the Elvis impersonator) and was always the ?rst on the dance ?oor. Her favorite Elvis song was How Great Thou Art. We know she is dancing in Heaven and waiting for Larry to join her. Gone way too soon, she leaves to cherish her memory the love of her life and soul mate, Larry R. Miles; her son, Larry A. Miles and his wife, Kimberly; her daughter, Jill Cole and her husband, John; and her daughter, Molly Franjione and her husband, Joe. She will stay in the hearts of her ?ve perfect grandchildren whom she was a huge inspiration to and whom she adored, John Robert, Joey, Sam, Angie and Isabella. She also leaves behind her sister and friend, Toni (Mals) Peterson (Ralph); her brother, Bob Mals (Annie); nephew, Bobby Mals; and numerous cousins, too many to name. She leaves us with wonderful memories and inspiration on how to live our lives. Family and friends received on Tuesday from 4-8 PM at the WARCHOL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412.221.3333). Funeral Service private.
