SCHMIDT Sr. LUCY, CDP Age 93, of McCandless Twp., died peacefully at Providence Heights on Monday, February 1, 2016. Sr. Lucy was born Bernadine Schmidt on September 8, 1922, in Brussels, Illinois. She entered the Sisters of Divine Providence on September 2, 1938, in St. Louis, Missouri. Throughout her life, Sr. Lucy faithfully and joyfully served God as an educator most of her life. She taught in Madison, IL and Mount Providence in Normandy, MO. Sr. Lucy served as both teacher and Principal at various Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of St. Louis, MO. During her many years within community, Sister Lucy offered her gifts in leadership, serving as provincial superior. She served on the board of Trustees of St. Elizabeth's Medical and many other committees. Sister Lucy earned a BS in English and History from St. Louis University and an MA in Theology from Notre Dame University. Sister was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Anna Schmidt; three sisters and two brothers. Sister Lucy chose to donate her body to science at St. Louis University. MILLER CLARENCE MASON, JR. Of Edgeworth, PA died January 31, 2016, at the age of 93, in Palm Beach Shores, FL. He was born in Wallace, North Carolina on June 4, 1922, the son of Ellen Boney Miller and Clarence Mason Miller, Sr. Clarence grew up in Wallace and attended the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. He received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA in 1946. After graduation from medical school, he became a captain in the U.S. Army with service in Korea and Japan. In the early 1950s, Clarence and his young family settled in Sewickley, PA where he became chief pathologist at Sewickley Valley Hospital. He retired from Sewickley Valley Hospital in 1993. Clarence was predeceased by his first wife, Eleanor Young Miller and his oldest son, James Douglas Miller. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Miller of Edgeworth; his son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Marie Miller of Lookout Mountain, TN and their children, Evan Miller of Chicago, IL, Mary Helen Montgomery (Heath) of Chattanooga, TN, and Spencer Miller of New York City; his daughter and son-in-law, Alaine Miller and Kevin Milliken and their son, Liam Milliken of Bellevue, WA; and his stepdaughter and her husband, Leslie Wolke and Ziv Yoles of Austin, TX. A talented physician and sportsman, he was never one to draw attention to himself. He will be remembered by friends, family and colleagues as a kind, generous, gentle man, always with a twinkle in his eye. Visitation will be at ShieldsMemorial Chapel, 325 Church Lane, Edgeworth, on Monday, February 8, 2016, at 1 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 2 p.m. A reception will be held at the Edgeworth Club at 3:30 p.m. Donations in his memory may be made to the Heritage Valley Sewickley Foundation, Office of Institutional Advancement, 420 Rouser Road, Suite 102, Moon Township, PA 15108. MARTINEZ TEYAMO “TEY” Age 15, of Upper St. Clair, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2016. He was the cherished son of Kathleene Callicott and adored brother of Chelby Smith and Maddison Callicott. Teyamo was very proud of his sister, Chelby's, artistic talent and often shared her work with friends. Maddison saw Teyamo as her adventurous side kick in the summer. Teyamo loved to set up air soft wars in the back yard for his and Maddison's friends. Teyamo didn't mind being hunted down and loved the thrill of the chase. Teyamo was an adventurous young man who loved being outdoors and spent several weeks during the summer at YMCA camp. Teyamo was planning on being a junior counselor because he easily took on a mentoring role with younger children. Tey enjoyed riding bikes and motorcycles with his friends, rollerblading and playing hockey. Teyamo could be found at Wiltshire Park across from his house no matter the season at the hockey rink or talking with his close friends, Stephen and Anthony. Teyamo made lifelong friends with Adam Miller and both AJ's playing Xbox. Recently he had become an avid Magic player and loved participating in release parties or hours long games with his friends. Tey loved all animals but cats were his favorite. A gathering for family and friends will be held on Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. at BEINHAUER FUNERAL HOME, 2828 Washington Rd., McMurray (724-941-3211). JANKOVIAK SISTER DANIELLE, SCN A Sister of Charity of Nazareth, passed into eternal life on Monday, February 1, 2016, at the age of 89, and in the 66th year of her religious life. Sister received her B.Ed. degree from Mount Mercy College in Pittsburgh, PA and did her graduate work at Duquesne University. She served the Diocese of Pittsburgh for 35 years in the teaching apostolate, teaching for 25 years at St. Dominic School in Donora, PA where she later ministered as a Pastoral Minister. In 1993, Sister moved to Swoyersville to take care of the ill members of her family. There, she also did volunteer work at her home parish, until she herself became physically incapacitated. Sister was predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Mary Jankoviak; and all her siblings, John, George, Mary, Michael, Joseph, Anthony, and Elizabeth. She is survived by her Sisters in Community and many nieces and nephews. BOYLE MIRIAM F. Of Penn Hills (Rosedale), PA born on September 19, 1921, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 19, 2016, in Sacramento, California. Mims, as she was known, is survived by her two sons, Paul R., Darlene, longtime companion, and Todd A. and wife, Pam (Laudi); five grandchildren, Paul III and wife, Michelle, Shannon Hughes and husband, Jeremy, Mandy Boyle, Kyle Laudi and wife, Linda and Kelsey Laudi. In addition, there are four great-grandchildren, Jameson, Stella, Jackson and Aiyla. Mims spent 80-plus years in the Rosedale area and worked as Office Manager at Green Oaks Country Club for 22 years. She spent the last four years in California living with Todd and Pam. She lived a long and fruitful life and will be missed. RIP Mum, we all love you. Per mom's request, no services are being planned at this time. Barbara retired from PNC Bank, where she was employed as an Investment Banker for 38 years. She enjoyed spending her retirement traveling and caring for her furry companions.
