Son of the late Ruth and Louis Rosen; adoring Poppy of Alex, Sammy, Ryan, Kelly, Dani, and Justin Prunzik, and Dylan and Drew Bowen; nephew of Gertrude Mallet. Ron was a graduate of Babson College and Senior Vice President of Investments for UBS Financial Services, Shadyside, since 1975 and devoted himself to his lifelong clients. A lifelong resident of Pittsburgh and a winter resident of Naples, FL, Ron was always dedicated to his friends both old and new, some going all the way back to his childhood. An avid golfer, Ron was a member of Green Oaks Country Club in Verona, PA for over 55 years. GRAUER JULIETTE D. Passed away on May 31, 2016, at her home after a lengthy illness at age 98. She was born on March 8, 1918, to Arnold and Fannie Deutelbaum, who predeceased her and who from 1918 to 1943 were the Executive Directors of the J.M. Gusky Hebrew Orphanage on Perrysville Avenue, Pittsburgh. She was also predeceased by her brother, James Deutelbaum and her sister, Florence Gavin. Juliette is survived by her son, Myron C. Grauer (Grazyna) of Dublin, Ohio, her sister-in-law, Polly Deutelbaum, nieces, Wendy Deutelbaum (Dee Morris), Jill Giller (Roger), Judy Kern (Rick), and Ellen Tullos (Loyd, Jr.), as well as by her nephew, Marshall Gavin (Kathie). Her son, Myron, also gives special thanks to her good and devoted friend, Gladys. Juliette grew up in her parents' house on the grounds of the Gusky Orphanage and made many lifelong friends among the children in the Orphanage. She graduated from Perry High School and went on to the University of Pittsburgh from which she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1939. She then earned her Master in Social Work from Carnegie Tech (now Carnegie Mellon) in 1941. During World War II, she lived in Chicago where she practiced psychiatric social work. After the War, she returned to Pittsburgh and married Robert C. Grauer, M.D. He passed away in 1975. After his death, she devoted countless hours to volunteer work at The Carnegie Museum, acting as a docent, and also managing The Carnegie's travel film series. In that latter capacity, she attended many international travel film conferences and booked all of the presenters of travel films who came to The Carnegie, made all of their travel arrangements, and personally introduced all of the speakers to the audience in The Carnegie Music Hall before their presentations. She was an avid reader, and in her free time enjoyed traveling all over the world. Services will be held in the Josiah & Carrie Cohen Chapel of Rodef Shalom Temple, 4905 Fifth Avenue (at Morewood) on Sunday at 11 a.m. Visitation one hour prior to services at Temple (10-11 a.m.). Tom was the devoted husband of Lura; beloved son of Sophie (Marge) Kearns and the late William Kearns; and the cherished brother of Janis. Tom was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering. He also earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore. Peter loved traveling the world with Ethel, his wife of 65 years. He took great pride in his seven grandchildren. Survivors include his five daughters, Virginia Malachias (Nicholas) of Leechburg, PA, Ann Caldwell (James) of Annapolis, MD, Marilyn Klanica (Frank) of Level Green, PA, Christine Webb (George) of Annapolis, MD, Laura Ravotti (John Spring) of Montrose, NY; seven grandchildren, Anne Klanica, Daniel Klanica, Marian Klanica Barbosa, Peter Caldwell, Elise Caldwell, Reid Webb and Julia Webb. CARL MARIE (CARR) On May 24, 2016, the beautiful, kind, and caring, Marie (Carr) Carl, 93 years of age, peacefully passed in her sleep. She was being cared for in Honolulu, Hawaii for 11 years and has now returned to her home in South Fayette. Marie was the loving wife of the late Harry Carl; the devoted mother of her three sons, Dennis (Jean), Keith (Janet) and Louis (Yoshi). She was the adoring and proud grandmother of Ashley Carl. Marie's late parents were Mary and Raymond F. Carr. Her previously deceased sisters and bother were Beatrice Carr Beccari, Raymond W. “Bud” Carr and Audrey Carr Cleric Semanick. Aunt Marie was dearly loved by her nieces, nephews and extended family. She was as bright as the Hawaiian sun, as gentle as the Pacific breezes and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was born in Harwick on August 28, 1930, to the late John and Stella Horenzy Laczek and had been a lifelong member of the community. Mrs. Zimmerman attended Aspinwall High School, graduating in 1948. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church and enjoyed gambling trips to Las Vegas, bowling and especially being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
